The Astral Plane: A Higher Dimension of Existence

The astral dimension is the place of light and indestructible life force. This is the realm of vibrational energy, the place behind the gross world and material existence. The astral world is where your soul goes after death of the physical body.

By connecting again to the astral dimension, you realize your true Self, the essence of who you really are. We say that you will connect "again" with the astral world because you were once there and you are always connected, but you have forgotten. Before coming to this physical life, you were in the astral dimension as a soul or spirit.

"That is where you will realize the freedom of your true nature. You were there as a soul cloaked in an astral form to start with; and because you are not there now and have lost that memory is why all your misery persists." ~ Paramahansa Yogananda

The astral plane created the world and all the material things and beings that we can see, touch, and feel. This is where all creation comes from— creative ideas, divine creation, laws of nature, galaxies and multiverses. Therefore, the astral dimension is the blueprint of the physical world. This blueprint is made out of light, vibration, and energy. The Servian-American inventor and futurist Nicola Tesla said, "If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration."

Living in the World Without Losing Our Divine Connection

When we connect with the astral plane, we become free from the limitations of the physical world. Hence, we say we are liberated. How do we connect with this astral plane? We start by intellectually understanding that we come from the astral plane, the blueprint of light, energy, and vibration. Then, we engage in practices that help us realize—experience for ourselves—this divine connection.

One of these practices is to detach from this material world, to truly see the superficiality and heaviness of the material world, and slowly get rid of the veil of illusion pulled down by the mind in front of us. Practice detachment to things, possessions, titles, names, labels, ideologies, judgments, likes or dislikes. Stay neutral and grounded in your spiritual center. Meditation is one of the most powerful practices to strengthen our divine connection.

Because we don't come from the material world, we are not bound to it. We come from the divine astral plane where all things and beings originate. This is where our loyalty and attention should be placed. The more you practice gentle detachment and grounding to your spiritual center, the more you develop your higher awareness, and the easier it gets to progress into the higher dimensions of existence.

Become comfortable and at ease with your self as an infinate astral being connected to the astral plane. Don't continue believing the idea that you are a limited being connected to this material finite world. You have the power to make the shift in this lifetime.

How Do I know I Am Connecting to the Astral Plane?

You are always connected to the plane of light, energy, and vibration; you are just not aware of it. When you sleep, your soul mingles freely with the astral plane without the interference of your thoughts and mind patterns. Every time you dream, meditate, use your imagination and visualization, you are using your subconscious mind, and you are connecting to the astral dimension.

During meditation, bring your awareness to the astral dimension. Stay focused on the light and energy plane. Stay centered in your spiritual eye between the eyebrows— the ajna chackra or "third eye." Meditate with the intention to freeing yourself from the material world.

What Happens After we Connect to the Astral Plane?

Reconnecting to the place of light, energy, and vibration, which is our true universal home, represents a tremendous progress in human consciousness. One of the most powerful, transcendental discoveries that a human being can make.

The ultimate liberation of human beings, however, is not found in the astral plane. True liberation is achieved when our soul realizes its oneness with the One Consciousness, Brahman, the Divine Creator.
